DIY flash Macro rig, built-in flash extender and diffuser made with plastic bottle

I made this rig for my canon rebel XSi with a bottle of softener "esselunga" brand, wrapped with a jacket of aluminum foil and kept in place with some cardboard, tape and a rubber band. It is extremely sturdy, does not wobble, not even while running or jumping.

 

All the macro picture I have made prior to this date are made with it. It works although it gives a bit of harsh reflections on shiny surfaces, but playing with the flash exposure compensation it is possible to reduce them.

Ecco a voi il mio diffusore ed estensore per il flash incorporato della mia rebel XSi.

 

L'ho fatto con una bottiglia di ammorbidente esselunga avvolta da carta stagnola con la parte lucida verso l'interno.

È tenuto insieme da pezzi di cartoncino, scotch e un elastico verde. È stabile, non balla nemmeno a saltare e correre, ovviamente è leggero e costa poco.

 

I risultati li potete vedere nelle macro antecedenti queste foto, tutte fatte con questo aggeggio. Da dei riflessi sulle superfici luci degli insetti, ma giocando con la compensazione del flash si possono ridurre un minimo.
