Siemens Dobrulux : the new lamp for signs : leaflet issued by Siemens Electric Lamps & Supplies Ltd., London, July 1933

A small leaflet issued in July 1933 by the British electrical company of Siemens and advertising their Dobrulux lamp for signs. This was claimed as the most economical lamp for electric signs and was a form of neon discharge lamp that worked on both AC and DC circuits without the need for rectification. The lamps would 'give movement and life' to signs and would not 'fail to attract attention owing to their lively flaming appearance. Siemes states that the up-front cost, at 5/- each, would be paid back due to the low consumption of the lamp.
