Ascendancy
A flat tire, gnarly sunburn, and bad case of altitude sickness later I at least have this to show for it. What I like most about this image is the amount of activity I was able to capture into a single image. I kept my camera and tripod still over 3-4 hours and shot the various activities that occurred in the frame and blended them together. What resulted is the crawler coming up the mountain road toward me, a car and a bonfire in the valley below, the flashlight of a distant hiker off to the right, the last bits of sunset over the mountains, a beautiful sky of stars and lastly the moon which was just out of frame casting its light onto the scene.
I was very fortunate that all of this happened within the time-frame it did because they all blend together perfectly to the final image.
