NSF no.6 (ex BR class 11 no.12071) at Aberaman Coke Works, Abercwmboi. South Wales.

NSF no.6 and former British Railways class 11 no.12071 stands idle at Aberaman Coke Works with mechanical failure. This loco was withdrawn by BR in 10/1971 and sold to the National Coal Board and initially saw use at the nearby Nantgarw Coke Works. It moved to Aberaman in 1987 when Nantgarw closed and saw use until stopped by mechanical failure. It was removed to C.F. Booths scrapyard in Rotherham in in July 1990 but escaped the breakers and entered preservation initially with the South Yorks Railway Preservation Society at Meadowhall. Alas it was then used as a source of spares to restore sister 12082 and was finally broken up in June 1995 by Coopers Metals Ltd, Sheffield at their Attercliffe breakers yard.
