Teloschistes exilis (Slender Orange-Bush lichen)
On a fallen branch, Stevens Creek Heritage Preserve, McCormick County, South Carolina.
This species appears to have only recently been discovered in SC, coincidentally, at the same site where I happened upon this one. It was not included on Ciegler's 1997 lichen checklist for the state.
