day 365
I felt like this photo fit for some reason. I don't even know why. Just somewhere along the middle of this, I dreamt of this idea and knew I had to.
Well here goes the speech. (You know I mean it when I'm using proper capitalization).
When I started out, I knew nothing. I was just fooling around with my dad's camera, and didn't think much of it. But then I found Flickr. it was like my own personal Narnia. I'm completely serious. I'm pretty sure this is one of the best things that have happened to me. Everyone on here was so helpful and friendly. I immediately became addicted. The 365 project was just something I had stumbled across on a few people's stream. It was a spur of the moment type thing and I thought, how hard could it be?
Okay, I was way in over my head. This was the most difficult challenge of my life. But in the end, improving my photography skills was only one thing I got out of it. I learned more about myself as a photographer, as a person, everything. I also met some of the most incredible, brilliant, hilarious people. People I didn't even know existed a year ago. It was like this brand new world opened up, swallowed me whole, and brought out a different person. I began seeing things differently, observing more, thinking more, believing more. It was wonderful.
So now, I would like to thank some people.
First of all, my parents and sister for being there and supporting me.
My friends/models who were willing to do crazy things like publicly humiliate themselves just so I could get a good picture.
And finally, all you guys. All of you that have stuck with me from the beginning. All of you that have joined in the middle, or have only just discovered my stream. Anyone who has ever commented or favorited or viewed. Anyone whose photos I've ever looked at. Thank you for the motivation. Thank you for being the most inspiring, beautiful people I've ever known.
I'll see you soon. (:
