Bjorn on the Bayou

The remains of the day slope across the angular Church of St. Thomas a Beckett on Kent's lonely Romney Marsh.

Consecrated in the 12th century by a grateful Archbishop divinely rescued from a swampy fate - the original daub and wattle shrine has been replaced at least twice - the current building serving the vanished parish of Fairfield until as recently as 1953.

Built on stilts amidst a fingery network of causeways the building provides abundant eerie atmospherics for big screen historical location scouts and photo hobbyists alike.
