The body language suggests that this is a young male Australasian Fur Seal strutting his stuff on the rocks of the non-breeding colony of seals that forms each Winter in Wellington. Around 300-400 pups, females and young bulls use this section of Sinclair Heads as a haul-out site where they can rest after an early morning hunt for food.
