My first chevron...

My first chevron blanket...

It is a emotional thing...

I have made this pattern before in a few cushions but I have never made a blanket...

A blanket is everything...and more...

My grandma made these blankets...my mum still makes these blankets...

 

But I have never...

 

I have put off...It is something that signifies memories, emotions and age...

 

I have not been ready to take up the challenge...To make something that has become a family tradition...

Why all of a sudden do I think I am ready now...

 

As I crochet this blanket I get all sentimental...

 

Maybe it's just a feeling that is hard to describe and put into words...
