Not unlike Pulse Spiral, exhibited in the Musée tounda, in this interactive work it is the participant's voice, rather than heartbeat, that is translated into light. As the room fills with the cumulative voices and light pulsations of the previous participants, an intimate rapport is set up between them, creating a temporary oral history of what has been said in the environment. As the piece unfolds, the turbulent movements of individual light beams and the participants' overlapping voices create a paradoxical harmony that is at once visual and polyphonic.
