Focusing on the Positive
Yes there is something wrong with my lens (or with my camera). I went out last night and all the photos have a blurry left half.
My initial reaction was disappointment and then frustration. But I have spent too much of my last 2 years on the left side and it is time for change. Normally I wouldn't post something if I wasn't satisfied. But here it is, along with a list of positives about this little night out:
* breaking trail through fresh snow for the first time this year
* having the clouds move away for a couple hours
* using winter camping gear
* discovering which items would be handy to bring next time
* pulling out my camera for the first time in many months
* seeing a little Aurora Borealis
* the unfocused stars on the left are more visible
* my ankle is finally starting to work properly again
I don't know the cause of the focus issue, but I'll have it looked at soon. Need to get ready for my next outdoors shooting opportunity!
