Ford Ranger P375-2015 Wildtrack Pickup
The Ford T6-Platform Ranger, first released in 2011 has proven to be a great success for Ford. Now sold globally in nearly every country of the world - with the notable exceptions of the US and Canada - the Ranger underwent a significant upgrade in 2015.
The 'new' vehicle is most natbly changed in the appearance of the vehicle at the front. Whereas the 2011 Ranger adopted the Ford North America 3-bar chrome grille, the 2015 vehicle adopts the large trapezoid grille common to many of Ford's SUV models currently on sale.
The Ranger carries over the 2.2 litre 4-cylinder and 3.2 litre inline 5-cylinder engines, updated for the latest global emissions standards, along with the previous hard-core offroad technologies:
Live rear axle
Differential lock
Body-on-frame
Bash plates
Low-range transfer case
Part-time 4x4
The 2015 Ranger, developed in conjunction with its near sibling, the Ford Everest SUV, allowed the inclusion of more car-like interior materials and technologies, including a whole host of electronic driver-assist safety technologies
The two cars share engines, transmissions and other hardware. The two are visually and structurally similar forward of the B-Pillar, but the Everest is not simply a wagon Ranger.
The Ranger is manufactured in South Africa, Argentina, Thailand and has a CKD plant in Nigeria. The model is already a best seller in its class in many countries.
This Lego miniland-scale Ford Ranger (P375-2015) Wildtrack Pickup - has been created for Flickr LUGNuts' 105th Build Challenge, titled - 'The Great Outdoors!' - a challenge for any vehicle designed for outdoor adventuring.
