Kwinana Grain Terminal
The Kwinana Grain Terminal is Western Australia's primary grain export facility, shipping more than half of the State's export grain. The terminal was opened in 1976 and receives grain from nearly 120 country receival points.
It can receive grain at 4,000 tonnes per hour (tph) and has a current storage capacity of more than one million tonnes. Ships can be loaded at 5,000 tph. The first grain ship loaded at Kwinana was the m/v Mexican Gulf on 5 July 1977.
