Protection?

One side effect of tanning is that the UV rays you receive might cause damage to your retina if you don't use the proper protection. If you must tan, closing your eyes, wearing ordinary sunglasses, and using cotton wads will not protect your cornea from the intensity of the UV radiation. Studies show that overexposure can burn the cornea changing the structure of the lens and can ultimately form cataracts.
