Terminated Bowl

When there is a hole on the side of a bowl it is an accident but a hole in the center may be a deliberate termination of the piece. Sometimes a piece was terminated to allow the spirit of an ancestor who was trapped in the world to pass on to the afterlife or for other reasons.
