Immature Hemp Section2
Cross section of an immature hemp stem stained with fast green viewed at 100X under a fluorescent microscope.
The light glowing blueish red near the center is xylem. The next layer with both glowing and non glowing cells is fiber and phloem. The third layer of glowing cells is immature phloem. Epidermis is the most outer layer.
