Leslie Main Johnson says: remarkable to see the whole Saxon brooch as it has lain in the ground. I hope they will also post an image after conservation. This brooch looks as if it is similar to the Henley Brooch shown below, but is probably better preserved. Spiral and scroll fill, and circles of garnet inlay–
