Coming from Bristol, where the bus fleet was mostly Bristol chassis with Eastern Coach Works bodies, and green, a visit to Cardiff always seemed to produce, to me, the exotic. Waiting in Cardiff's now demolished bus station on September 12th 1966 was this red Western Welsh Park Royal bodied A,E.C. "Bridgmaster", a type I loved for its heavy looking front end and seemingly slightly set back front axle.
