Letting off Steam

the 29th in my Iceland series. There are geothermal areas everywhere but this one at Hverir is amazing with several mudpots, steaming vents and a geyser. The smell of sulphur is strong but the colours it creates on the mud and earth are beautiful. Needless to say the bubbling mud and steam are very hot.
