My vintage fabric square
It's been 4 hours of putzing around with fabric and layout and cutting and photographing to come up with this one block. No wonder it takes me so long to make a quilt. I started with 3 vintage pieces and then I thought why not find all the vintage fabrics I can to put in this block. I found a bundle of fabrics pretty quickly and cut into them (many for the first time). I have been given a number of these fabrics from my quiltin' Babe Jean. She is a licensed quilt appraiser and has been published and has a blog. She knows how much I love vintage and that I appreciate all the work she put into becoming an appraiser. I attended a number of quilt study sessions that she helped organize. I love the history of quilt making.
Blogged (for the first time since February) Thanks to a new camera!
