What's All The Flutter?
I don't know why I was surprised to see lots of butterflies fluttering around - after all this is a field of flowers, right?
As we approached, I saw some Gulf Fritillaries flitting about, but they were not as cooperative as the bees and did not want their picture taken. Finally giving up, I settled on taking "regular" shots of the sunflowers instead.
Not until editing this photo did I realize this is a Monarch butterfly!
If only I'd known there were also Monarchs - I would have tried harder!
