Glass Exploring at Castlerigg Stone Circle

Bit of a fitness training session, with a brisk walk from Keswick to Castlerigg Stone Circle, and an opportunity to explore with Google Glass for the first time. These are the first pictures, taken with the wink of an eye. ‪#‎throughglass‬

Castlerigg Stone Circle is said to be one of the earliest stone circles in Europe. Built around 3200 BC. The stones are local metamorphic slate, the heaviest weighing in around 16tonnes. No one knows exactly how many stones are in the circle, but probably between 38 and 42. The stones are of interest to archaeoastronomers because the stones are aligned with the surrounding hills for the Autumn equinox.
