Visiting Ralph "Mad Physicist" Savelsberg

After years of corresponding with Ralph Savelsberg it was finally time to meet the master in person. Last Saturday, the 28th of November, I woke up very early to spend 3 hours of driving from the southern tip of the Netherlands to the "far" north to end up in the town of Den Helder.
Looking back on it, It was definitely more than worth it! I enjoyed the day I spent with Ralph. He showed my all of his models and we discussed our common interest with great enthusiasm and joy. The cherry on top of the cake was the opportunity to take pictures of my B-2 joined by Ralph's Big birds (the B-1B and B-52H). Together these three types of planes make USAF's current strategic bomber fleet.
I enjoyed the day very much and hope we can continue our friendship for a long time!
