Beamish Coal Train
Steaming along at Beamish Museum colliery is an 0-4-0ST "Saddle Tank" shunting locomotive, built in 1949 by Andrew Barclay & Sons of Kilmarnock and formerly owned by the National Coal Board (and, now in preservation, still sporting their livery), hauling a set of 20-ton coal hopper waggons.
The Barclay locomotive is on loan from the Bowes Railway, Springwell, Tyne & Wear.
