Suzanne (Africa) Engo was honored to present an award yesterday evening at Scientology Center at the 2nd Annual Drug Free Heroes Awards Gala to "Vision Warrior" Scot Anthony Robinson. Africa Engo also read the official statement of the United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki Moon at the occasion of the United Nations Intl Day Against Drug Abuse. Engo began her speech by paying tribute to the late Michael Jackson singing to the crowd. " IF YOU WANNA MAKE THE WORLD A BETTA PLACE TAKE A LOOK AT YOURSELF AND MAKE A CHANGE" . The Activist spoke about loosing 115 pounds and how giving up alcohol was a huge part of it. " Worst part of being sober is you feel everything, Best part of being sober is YOU FEEL EVERYTHING and that is life" Africa Engo was dressed by Designer Marc Bouwer and accompanied by Celebrity Blogger Micah Jesse, the pair were also seated at a table with Actor from HBO hit Series Paul Schulze from Nurse Jackie and friends and family of the honoree. Engo proudly referred to her United Nations Tattoo, " I am a daughter of the United Nations" she said " I proudly bring her message wherever I go" " Last night is exactly as tributes should go, REAL HEROES WON" suzanne africa engo
