Now here's a better build... All the major chips are in the BGA package!

 

Interestingly this dongle doesn't need any Bluetooth stacks installed in order to make it function properly. It just works out of the box without having to install the IntelliPoint software. That's why there's a 2-Mbit flash chip!

 

The works out of the box thing just scared the crap out of me when I assumed that there's no Bluetooth chip installed, but just a regular 2.4 GHz transceiver that can't connect regular Bluetooth devices! Now that I know there's a 2-Mbit chip to maintain compatibility between other OSes without being forced to install BlueZ or a BT stack... I can literally use this mouse in a Windows 98 box if I wanted to; Provided that I don't install the IntelliPoint software...
