I knew that clouds will make focusing difficult, both manual live view and auto focus. So I started my setup around 10 am to get the focus right using auto focus. All focus points were active. After camera gave me the successful focus signal via live view, I switched the lens to manual focus. Since accidentally turning the Sigma 150-600 mm C focus ring is difficult, this action basically locked my focus setting. I only need to worry about the tripod head azimuth and elevation angle from this point on.
Even though camera is on a tripod, I had image stabilizer turned on. This is due to the fact that tripod is standing on concrete slab. And there were other people observing the eclipse. They can be a source of vibrations.
All these were learned during 2023 from many practice sessions. The 2033 annular eclipse was a dress rehearsal. The only thing I would add is to clean the sensor.
