Been waiting for this one for a LOOONG time. Never got any of the Tobey figures back in the day, and of course with his return (or inclusion) into the MCU, I eagerly welcomed the opportunity to finally get a 1/6 of him.

So before the 1/6 came out, Bandai released their version I think '22 Christmas or so and it was OK. Well, I'm happy to say that the Hot Toys figure is also.. OK.

I mean, the head sculpts are not exactly fantastic. On the other hand, since when were they fantastic to begin with. As per usual, one should be compare with the prototype and it comes in close enough. Earlier releases of the figure saw some rather nasty comments towards the unsightly seam on the top of the hooded head. I'm gonna presume that this is the fixed version, which yes, still features a seam but it's honestly not terrible.

The body itself features major joints that are ratcheting in nature, which helps t hold their position. Those joints work quite well and in fact, the tailoring and the body itself work together nicely to offering posing options The issue is that the underlying body just isn't as articulated as I would like, with no lateral torso movement, which ultimately means your poses are still kind of rigid looking. You've also got limited butterfly joint movement for the shoulders, and limited hip articulation due to the way the groin area is cut. Head tilt is limited, which will basically limit the types of crawling poses you can do.

The actual suit itself is actually quite nice. Form fitting but with enough give that you can actually pose in the thing. I wish the Widows had this sort of mentality, though the underlying body looks kind of like an underdeveloped boy.
