eye with soft contact lens

note the well visible vains. This happens when the contact lens does not let enough oxygen reach the surface of the cornea. The result is a oxygen-deficiency that the eye tries to compensate with transporting more blood to the center of the eys. That is why the vains become bigger and more visible. In such case an other type of contact should be tried out, because the oxygen-deficiency is bad for the eye over a long period.
