Tea with Harada-Osho, Shōsō-ji
I visited Shōsō-ji (正宗寺 ) just outside Takayama with my friends the Hayashi family. Shōsō-ji is a Soto Zen temple run by Zen master Harada Doichi. We went to see an original wood statue of Enku (円箜). Harada-osho allowed us to hold the statue, then invited us for tea. Harada-osho and I compared cameras - both Nikons of course :). He then taught us the difference between meditation and zazen
The children on the right are Wamo and Tenzin Hayashi. I had a wonderful day in the company of this delightful family. This photo was taken by Hisa.
