A Sherpa . . . by request.

For a couple of years or so on and off at work we've been batting the restoration of this Freight Rover 'Sherpa' 400 minibus. It's far from our usual fayre and has demanded a very different skill-set in many ways. Large buses are almost infinitely restorable, but these small vehicles are quite car like and tend to disolve away. In its favour, although the drive train was weak on the FR product, the chassis is better than the equivalent Fort Transit.

Thanks to the committment of a dedicated owner who's wanted to bank-roll the project, this particular Badgerline example will hopefully live again. How much of the end product will be Freight Rover / Dormobile and how much will be Reliance Bus Works will be a matter to conjor with.

As buses these little vehicles are very much a Marmite thing, but love 'em or loathe them, they were a significant part of British transport history.
