Why oh 'Y' ?
Moving stuff around in our storage compound today in preparation for tomorrow's POPS rally, gave a rare chance to photograph one of my two ex PMT 'Y' type AEC Reliances. Sorry it's just a phone camera picture, but it conveys the sorry state the old girl's fallen into during her years of storage. If the fact that these were always my favourite buses in the PMT fleet of my youth, and that I've latterly cornered the market on them isn't sufficient to get me to make a start on restoration, then I don't know what is!
Ex PMT 169, FEH 169J is a semi-auto AEC Reliance '691 with Alexander 'Y Type' DP49F bodywork.
