Taking the livestock for a walk...
Stephen haltered-up Jim the Llama (right) and Zaphir, an 8-month-old alpaca who needed halter-training, and we walked them up the Takapu valley to the top. Here we have stopped basically at the entrance to the Belmont park, which comprises the treeless hills in the background.
(I was going to walk Zaphir, but he proved very balky. So I walked Jim, instead, although Jim is a very suspicious llama and he wasn't always sure he liked it. But he didn't give me too much trouble.)
