Surfing

Coastal Osprey with a rockfish. I've found a location on the Norcal coast that is just brimming with fishing Osprey right now. On my third trip out there, and after at least 12 hours of sitting on the cliff in a camp chair, I finally got something I'm pretty proud of. The challenges have included some intense wind, which seems to severely limit the fishing excursions, and the fact that the coast here faces more south than west, and the Osprey seem to only fly south to fish, then return to the north with their catch. This means that evening flights are mostly backlit, while morning flights are lit from behind and slightly this side of the bird. This is a morning flight. Some differences I've noticed between these and the Osprey in the mountains - these guys spend a LONG time circling while rendering the catch immobile before attempting to fly home with it, and the spinier fish are always carried upside down.
