"On a quiet hilltop, where magic blends with everyday life, lives Haru, a young witch-in-training with a stubborn streak and a glittering magic staff. Her trusty ghost-faced teacup watches as she tries—and fails, and tries again—to master her unusual flying companion: an enchanted baseball bat.
Each crash-landing leaves fresh scrapes on her knees, now proudly decorated with magical bandages. The neighbors chuckle as she spins through the air, only to end up tangled in bushes or flowerpots.
But Haru never gives up. One day, she vows, she will conquer the skies in her own way, and when she does, even the ancient, brooding gods will have to applaud."
