German Armed Forces Proficiency Badge (GAFPB)
U.S. Army Soldiers, along with service members from across the Armed Forces, participated in the German Armed Forces Proficiency Badge (GAFPB) Assessment, on Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall, Va., August 29-30, 2023.
The assessment begins with a German PT Test (Sprints, 1 Km. Run, & Chin-Up Hang).
From there, competitors conduct an M17 Pistol range on Marine Corps Base Quantico, Va.
To close out day one, service members complete a CBRN Situational Training Exercise (STX) Lane and a written Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) test. Day two consists of a 12-mile Ruck March and a swim evaluation to determine whether they will receive a bronze, silver, or gold GAFPB. (U.S. Army Photos by: SSG Phillip J. Tross III)
