White-lined sphinx

Coloured pencils (mostly Arteza) on Strathmore heavyweight paper, 8x10".

 

While hiking in Northern Yosemite I once saw hundreds, if not thousands, of these moths flying around and actively mating. They reminded me of a smaller version of a hummingbird.
