Chapelle de La Valette à Salvizinet
[While I upload photos from 2020, I am also trying to keep up with some of my more current works by uploading a couple of photographs every day, in the afternoon or evening.]
Typical of the early Romanesque in the region of Forez (Auvergne, central France), this chapel dedicated to the Holy Cross depended from the Benedictine priory of Salt-en-Donzy. Pilgrims could stay there for as long as three days, and were given food for one day upon their departure.
