[The Survivors RPG] Tournament 2 "Turbolaser Takeover"

After our extraction from Tatooine, we didn't have much time to rest before The Survivors asked Ttaz and me for our help on a mission... to Coruscant of all places.

 

Since Zach, the Survivors' leader, was away, Kevin briefed us on the mission.

 

Our job was to take out a turbolaser at the Northeast Docks Imperial Barracks, creating a diversion for the other Survivors to slip through a checkpoint elsewhere on Coruscant unnoticed.

 

"Why not commandeer the turbolaser?" I asked Kevin. "Might as well if we can use it against the Imperials. I have a couple control chips lying around that would probably even let us control it remotely."

 

Kevin thought for a second. "Sure, why not," he said in his gruff Trandoshan accent.

 

"Sounds good to me," said Ttaz. "I'll keep the Imperials occupied, you just worry about installing that chip."

 

We left for Coruscant the next day. I got everything prepped for the mission, sitting alongside Ttaz as he cleaned his weapons and armor.

 

A few hours later, we were descending to the docks, gliding through the air in the City of Spires. The Mynock dropped us off at the docks, and as soon as we jumped out we were met with heavy fire from the stormtroopers.

 

I blasted an Imperial technician in the chest, and ran over to the electrical panel by the turbolaser. I got straight to work on it as Kaz covered me, ducking behind a pile of crates. A couple minutes of blaster fire and Wilhelm screams later, I had control of the turbolaser. It was time for our extraction.

I contacted the Mynock again, and as soon as we were back on board, I pointed the turbolaser towards the remaining stormtroopers on the dock and blasted them into oblivion. As we flew away, I saw the dock covered with flames and rubble. A job well done.
