Church of the 3 Villages swallowed by the Lake
The "Lac du Der" is an artificial lake in France. The lake was created in 1974 to regulate the water that flows through the Marne. With the creation of the lake, the villages of Champaubert-aux-Bois, Chantecocq and Nuisement-aux-Bois were swallowed by the water. Only the church of Champaubert, on a former hill and now protected by boulders, still reminds of the disappeared villages.
