House of M Issue 4: Hawkeye

 

Shang-Chi, Nico, Cap, Wolverine, and Vision sat in the demolished Fisk Tower.

 

"Vis, you know any heroes in the area?" Asked Wolverine.

 

Vision quickly replied, "Yes. Clint Barton AKA Hawkeye is nearby."

 

They all looked surprised. "It though Hawkeye died?" Asked Nico.

 

"No he did not." Vision factually said. "Logan, can I speak with you? Alone."

 

Vision and Logan walked into another room.

 

"So what do you want, robot?"

 

"I have an audio message for you."

 

Logan was confused. "For me?"

 

Vision began playing the message.

 

"'Hello? Hello! This is Doctor Strange! I don't know if this will reach you, but Wolverine, you are the-'"

 

A loud boom coveted what Strange said. Then, Magneto spoke.

 

"' DOCTOR STRANGE! You will be punished for heresy against the House of Magnus!'"

 

Next, all was heard was crashing and screaming. The audio then ended.

 

Logan was utterly perplexed. "What does that even mean?"

 

"I do not know."

 

(LATER)

 

Wolverine, Vision and Cap walked through the streets of New York. They left Shang-Chi, and Nico at Fisk Tower to set up a camp there.

 

They walked through the streets and suddenly they saw a man dressed in purple.

 

"Hey! You're Hawkeye right? Clint Barton? The Avengers?" Asked Captain America.

 

Hawkeye turned. "Sam?"

 

He realized it was Sam, but dressed as Captain America.

 

"So you're Captain America now?"

 

Cap chuckled. "You need to be caught up. I am, and we're restarting the Avengers. It's time we fix this world."

 

"And others." Vision chimed in.

 

"Yeah, sure," said Cap, trying to get to his point. "Do you want to join?"

 

Hawkeye chuckled. " Why'd you even ask? Do you know why my wife and kids are dead? Because of the Avengers! They shouldn't have messed with the X-Men!"

 

Cap tried to think of something, but Wolverine interjected. "The Avengers were set up. You know that. "

 

Hawkeye brushed off the comment. "Who else is crazy enough to join you?"

 

"We have Hank, Shang, Nico, And Wolverine."

 

Hawkeye was taken aback. " Wolverine!? He killed Cap!" He looked like he was ready to kill someone.

 

Sam tried calming him down. "He regrets it. He wants to kill Magneto."

 

This didn't calm Hawkeye's anger. "No! It's a trap!"

 

Hawkeye gut punched Wolverine. He kicked him in the groin. He pulled out a gun and began firing, not even giving Wolverine a second to fight back. Wolverine hit the ground. Cap threw his shield, knocking the guns out of Hawkeye's hands.

 

Sam took a deep breath. "If he was still and X-Men, me, of all people, would be the first person to try to kill him."

 

Hawkeye thought about this. "Well, I guess I'm in, now that he's killed. Still skeptical though."

 

Suddenly, Wolverine stood up..

 

Hawkeye was clearly startled. "What the-"

 

"I can heal myself," stated Wolverine. "But like Sam said, I'm a hero now."

 

"Ugh… I guess I have to join. What do you need me to do?"
