Moonscape of the Mind Symposium

2023-04-14 -- Ken Tadashi Oshima, professor of architecture at the University of Washington, delivered the keynote address on the work of Isamu Noguchi and World Trade Center architect Minoru Yamasaki. The symposium is connected with an exhibition at WashU’s Olin Library, “Beauty in Enormous Bleakness,” which honors the work of architects Gyo Obata, Richard Henmi, George Matsumoto, and Fred Toguchi. All four escaped internment during WWII by enrolling in the WashU School of Architecture.
