Due to sudden flood In three upazilas of South Chittagong, more than 3 lakh people have been trapped in water.
Locals have reported acute shortage of drinking water due to sinking of tube wells in flood waters.As tubewells in the area have sunk, water has to be brought from far away.
Now they have to eat only dry food as there is no cooking facility due to flooding.
In these three upazilas, electricity supply has been stopped for last three days.Electricity has been cut off due to the water of Sangu River flowing close to the danger zone.
According to the information of the district administration, 36 thousand 500 families have been affected by the flood.
Road communication between Cox's Bazar and Bandarban with Chittagong has been cut off due to the sinking of the road.Due to this, more than 5 kilometers of traffic jam is created on both sides of the road. Hundreds of vehicles were stranded on both sides.
