Anywhere in Kolkata there is a fair (or "Mela" as it is called in Bengali), there would be cultural performances. We Bengalis love to perform from the works of the world-famous poet-musician Rabindranath Tagore, and this art is now usually supported by modern musical instruments. In this shot, you see two such musicians waiting by their instruments as the performers of Rabindrasangeet (songs by Rabindranath) get ready in the wings. The one to the left is playing an ultra-modern electronic Percussion instrument, while the one in the right is playing the Tabla, a set of traditional drums played using the palm and fingers only.
