Made in Canada washable masks by Montreal fashion house Mackage. These ones go for CAD $38 each (USD $28 or EUR 25), plus shipping. They are sturdy, look quite fashionable in my mind, but the lack of elastic makes it a little challenging to wear. I think I will use these for work and also for seeing important people (like I ever do)! The Mackage masks, despite their high prices, were very popular and sold out frequently. And I think Mackage might have decided to stop making them. (They were sold as a temporary product line and all proceeds went to a charity.)

New cases of the COVID-19 pandemic are finally starting to fall slowly in Canada by mid-June 2020. My workplace is starting to talk about perhaps as many as 10% of the 1,400 employees might return to the office sometime in September or later. As of July, the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) will require passengers to wear some sort of face masks or coverings to use public transit, as when more and more people return to using transit, social/ physical distancing will NOT be possible. Meanwhile, new infections are reaching new records daily in many states in the U.S., in India, Russia, Brazil and many African countries. New cases are also popping up in China again. I've been sourcing facial masks in case I need to go back to the office on a more frequent basis (right now, I go to the office twice a month).
