Class 47 1648 at Earlestown on a parcels service on 28/07/1971. The loco was allocated to Old Oak Common (81A) at the time. I t was released new to traffic on 22/01/1965. This loco became 47064 and the 47639 in Feb 1986 and then 47851 in Feb 1990. It is still working today for West Coast Railway in their maroon livery.

A Metro-Cammell 2 car DMU (Class 101) can also be seen signalled to take the line to Warrington Bank Quay and Chester
