Docker Nook Farm - Longsleddale
Docker Nook Farm, Longsleddale is a listed building located in the English Lake District National Park.
This farm has a special meaning for me in my Ancestry research as my 6th great grandfather Rev. Edmund Atkinson who was curate of St Mary’s Longsledddale went a courting the lovely Margaret Lickbarrow who lived with her parents at Docker Nook. They married 29 Oct 1710 and moved to Ulverston in 1714 where Edmund became curate (or vicar) of St Mary’s Ulverston.
Edmund had 4 wives the first 3 all dying
