Whats behind the bricked up brick arch?

Situated on Kay Street, Blackpool, at its junction with Bethesda Street this retaining/boundary wall separates the higher level, Seasiders Way from Kay Street.

It is almost certainly the original wall built by the Lancashire & Yorkshire Railway as a boundary wall. Seasiders Way and the adjacent car were built along the course of the old multiple tracks of the railway lines that ran into the now demolished Blackpool Central Railway Station.

This extremely well constructed wall probably dates back to 19th century.

Was there a tunnel built for the same purpose as the one at Princess Street, to allow Bethesda Street to continue through to the Promenade side of the railway? Was this bricked up when the Chapel Street Bridge was built?
