moonbase 1
First attempt to build some kind of base, and I must admit, it will be a while before this gets better. I have to learn how to work with- and build stuff for minifig scale.
An example: the windows are offset to the left, because at first I tried to build a lift-shaft against the control unit. But a lift for minifigs has to be at least 4x4 open floor, which meant a 6x6 lift shaft, and that meant the lift shaft felt bigger than the control cabin. That did not work out as planned, and the crater plate does not offer as much space as I expected. So off with the lift shaft, and on the the ladder in the back (which in turn works out very well; the lesson about bringing some bright colours in is working).
Another problem is how to build furniture and stuff for minifigs. I plan on keeping the studs open, but I get a feeling that does not go as well in combination with the minifigs as I hoped.
Adding space in the background is a photoshop thing, fun, but I need some more starry things...
