Wandering Mind

Inktober 2020 9

Poem by Tom Lee

Sometimes my mind it wanders

Strange places it can go

I don’t have any road map

Don’t know what it will show

I rather like the freedom

That takes me who knows where

Like to this jig-saw landscape

To roam without a care

I’d like to look inside those ponds

And those things like giant seeds

See what they are; they’re quite bizarre

See where the journey leads

I think I could write sci-fi

So odd, the things I think

I often find things get more weird

When I have had a drink…
